Yoga for Active Birth is an interactive birth class applying yoga postures, movement and breathing techniques for labour and birth.

You’ll learn how to work WITH the wisdom of your body, understanding physiological labour, birth hormones, the importance of your birth space while the birth partner learns practical ways to assist by holding space, utilising massage and advocating on behalf of the mother.  

Don't worry you won't need any prior yoga experience and can even do this without stretchy pants!

Meet the instructor

Sara Evans

A student of yoga for more than 25 years, Sara found her yoga practice to be a profound source of insight and intuition during the births of both her children.   Sara believes the presence and support offered by her husband during her births provided the support needed for her to fully surrender into each birth experience. Her passion for birth led her to study to become a doula and birth educator as a compliment to her prenatal yoga specialty.  She has been teaching Yoga for Birth workshops since 2014 and is passionate about empowering women and couples to embrace their birth through antenatal education.
